Pretty-By-Hand Workspace Makeover
http://prettybyhand.com/blog/2012/2/22/workspace-makeover-part-i.html
I wanted to keep this link because this is EXACTLY what I need. My sewing room is also my office (I work from home). I keep my work space very neat and tidy. But then the sewing portion of the room is just plain awful! There's an article in one of the quilting magazines about taking the month of April and just clearing everything that is not furniture or a sewing machine out of the space and going through everything. The more I read, the more I think I'm going to need to do this. I might not wait for April!
I belong to Jo's Lil Woman, a scrap therapy group and Thimbleberries. I think I will get a bit ahead on the projects over the next 2 weeks and shut down the sewing. I feel the pain of the Kristyne of not feeling creative because of the clutter. I have a very wonderful friend, Mary, who has re-organized her sewing room and it makes those juices flow again. So, it is time for me to take action.
I'm traveling on business this week. After I spend quality time with hubby and my fur-baby, Maggie Moo, I'm hitting the sewing room. Getting ahead on my projects and then start boxing up ALL of the fabric and books in my sewing room. I will clean the shelves - won't repaint, most likely but who knows? - move whatever needs to be moved to be better organized. I think I will take the lead from Kristyne and draw out the room to see what I can do better.
I'm actually quite excited and looking forward to the project! I think it will as rewarding as finishing a beautiful quilt.

I had the best, best time at the annual beach retreat in Nags Head, NC. We had such a relaxing week. It's so hard to leave but I certainly appreciate the time we have. I wish I had taken more pictures and will next year!

New Site for Me
I started another blog but couldn't do the fun things my friends were doing on theirs. So, I've moved to blogspot. I hope I will keep this up at least weekly! I look forward to hearing from people as I go forward.
